Special Needs Cat Sanctuary | Love and Whiskers
My Cat Gallery
My special needs cat sanctuary presently houses 30 permanent cat residents. Most of my residents come from colonies, or hoarding situations. I care for these cats without the aid of volunteers, personally funding every aspect of their mission. I have dedicated my whole life to these poor souls, providing them all the comforts I can within my financial ability, and I love that I have been chosen to care for God’s children. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
This gallery is a glimpse into the heart of Love and Whiskers Cat Sanctuary.
Here you’ll find photos of the cats who have shared their lives with me over the years.
You’ll also see some very special cats who are no longer with me but remain forever part of my sanctuary family. Every whisker, pawprint, and memory tells a story of love, resilience, and hope.
Take your time and enjoy meeting these wonderful souls — each one has made a lasting mark on my heart. 💖

Current Sanctuary Cats
These are the beautiful souls who live at my special needs cat sanctuary right now. Some have a chronic illness, some have a serious behavioral problem, some are senior, some are not socialized, some are blind or deaf and finally some are FeLV or FIV positive. Each has blossomed into their own unique self. Every day with them is a gift, and I’m so happy to share their faces with you.

Video Section
Here are some peaceful videos from the sanctuary — I save the cats no one else wants — and I show the world their beauty and strength. Stay tuned as I will be creating a Youtube channel very shortly.
Annabelle and Moon: Two Sisters Who Beat the Odds
Annabelle and Moon were rescued from a flooded feral nest. Both girls grew up healthy and strong. Moon is full of life, and Annabelle is doing great even though she had all her teeth removed because of stomatitis.
They are sweet, gentle sisters who love their safe life at the sanctuary.
Kimmy: A Semi-Feral Cat Learning to Feel Safe
Kimmy grew up without socialization and is semi feral. He’s not aggressive with the other cats, but he prefers to stay to himself.
I spend time with him every day to help him learn to trust, and he’s slowly opening up.
He will stay at the sanctuary where he can feel safe.
Shadow’s Story: From a Flooded Shed to a Safe, Happy Life
Shadow had a rough start in life. He and his siblings were rescued from rising water under a shed, and he was the sickest of the litter. He survived a high fever and some brain trauma, but he grew into a sweet, playful boy with a big heart.
He sometimes needs a little extra help, and that’s okay—he is loved, safe, and thriving at the sanctuary.

Happy Tails: Adopted Into Forever Homes
This section is dedicated to the cats who found loving homes after their time here. Letting them go is one of the hardest parts of rescue, but it is also the greatest reward. I think of them often and hope they are all living happy, comfortable lives surrounded by love.

In Loving Memory
Some of my cats are no longer with me, but they will never be forgotten. Each one left pawprints on my heart and taught me lessons of love, courage, and resilience. This section is a tribute to their lives and the joy they brought into the world. I loved them so much and will never forget them.

Cat Sanctuary Founder | Caring for Deaf, Blind & Special Needs Cats | Educator & Coach for Cat Colony Caregivers, Rescues & Shelters
I am the founder of Love and Whiskers Cat Sanctuary and I have spent more than 25 years caring for cat colonies and supporting vulnerable cats who often have nowhere else to go. With a background in microbiology and years of research experience focused on FeLV, I blend science with practical, hands-on care.
Through The Whisker School, I now teach shelters, rescuers, and caregivers how to support colony cats, FeLV and FIV cats, seniors, disabled cats, and cats with behavior challenges. My mission is simple: to help people understand these cats, keep them safe, and give more of them a chance to live the life they deserve.
