Colony cats rarely make headlines. We hear about strays, abandoned cats, and shelter pets, but the cats living in managed colonies, and the dedicated caregivers who feed, monitor, and protect them every day, often go unseen. At Love and Whiskers, this is where I focus my heart and my work.
I am proud to specialize in cat colony care — ensuring these often-overlooked cats get the protection, guidance, and kindness they deserve.

Giving Hope to the Hopeless
I am a specialized, permanent sanctuary for senior, sick, and disabled community cats who have nowhere else to go.
While traditional shelters focus on finding homes for adoptable kittens and healthy young cats, I focus on the ones left behind. I provide a forever home and specialized care for:
- The Vulnerable Seniors: Cats who spent their lives outdoors and are too old or weak to survive another winter.
- The Sick & Disabled: Cats with chronic health conditions or physical limitations who require specialized, daily medical management.
- Colony Support & Education: I dedicate my 25+ years of experience to educating the community and supporting dedicated colony caregivers who feed and protect outdoor cats.
Healthy kittens are easy to adopt out. But a senior cat with medical needs, or a disabled cat requiring lifelong support, stays with us forever.
Because my residents face ongoing health challenges, my veterinary costs and high-quality nutrition needs are incredibly high. These cats have no one else in the world to turn to, but I cannot provide this specialized, round-the-clock care alone.
